The Children’s Cancer Center is excited to celebrate Mary Bryant Elementary School as our Partner of the Month for October! The Mary Bryant faithful were in full force at our Chick-fil-A Fall Stampede 5k and 1 Mile Family Fun Walk. Students, parents, faculty and staff rallied in support of one of their own classmates who is currently battling pediatric cancer and receiving services from Children’s Cancer Center.
Mary Bryant Principal, Elise Suarez, went the extra mile and volunteered some of her time to help make this year’s stampede the most successful one yet. Elise reflected on her time, sharing that, “Collaborating with the CCC has been exceptionally rewarding. This year, supporting the Fall Stampede was extra special, having a Bryant Bronco in active treatment whose family benefits from the amazing opportunities the CCC provides.” Mary Bryant led the charge at Busch Gardens, championing their classmate and learning how to make a difference at such a young age.
Elise echoed her gratitude for the amazing Mary Bryant community, noting that “The generosity and care shown by our Bronco families, both monetarily and those who signed up for the event, was extraordinary. I’m so proud of our community and look forward to our continued participation and partnership!”
The Children’s Cancer Center is proud to serve local children and their families battling pediatric cancer, and we are even more grateful for the community that wrapped its arms around the Fall Stampede and supported our mission.
