This January, the Children’s Cancer Center is proud to announce Cross Out Cancer as our Partner of the Month. This incredible group, led by local high school student-athletes, devotes their time during the Fall competitive season to plan a 5k and work together towards their mission to ease the financial burden on families with a child battling pediatric cancer.
Cross Out Cancer aims to put Hope in Motion, as they believe the only concern of the families should be their child. They recognize the financial hardship that comes with a pediatric cancer diagnosis, and medical bills are only one component of the distress. Proceeds of the run will support the Children’s Cancer Center’s White Hat Fund, our financial assistance program that covers transportation, telecommunication, housing, utility and funeral expenses of affected families.
Cross Out Cancer is especially impactful, as their efforts make an immediate difference today while raising the local leaders of tomorrow. While these student-athletes compete against each other on the course, they come together in support of a greater cause. We are so grateful for this partnership and we wish all of these hard-working student-athletes continued success in all of their endeavors.
