The Children’s Cancer Center is honored to recognize the Cassidy Otto Foundation as our April Partner of the Month.
The Cassidy Otto Foundation was established in honor of Cassidy Otto, a 9-year-old from Lutz, Florida, who embraced life and love but tragically lost her battle with medulloblastoma, a rare pediatric brain cancer. Rooted in the belief that community is stronger than cancer, the foundation is dedicated to supporting families impacted by cancer, funding research, and spreading hope throughout the community.
The Children’s Cancer Center is fortunate to be a beneficiary of the impactful work they do. The Cassidy Otto Foundation began partnering with the Children’s Cancer Center by supporting our Bereavement Program, providing comfort and care to families navigating the unimaginable loss of a child. Their compassion during such a difficult time has made a meaningful and lasting impact on the families we serve.
Most recently, the Cassidy Otto Foundation pledged to fund our Fueling Families Program, which provides gas and grocery gift cards to ease the financial burdens families face during treatment. By helping cover these essential expenses, the program allows caregivers to focus fully on their child’s care and well-being, bringing relief and peace of mind when they need it most.
