The Children’s Cancer Center is thankful for Lyrics For Life Foundation, our June Partner of the Month!
Sister Hazel frontman, Ken Block, and his band mates founded Lyrics For Life in memory of Ken’s younger brother, Jeffrey, who ultimately lost his battle with cancer. Lyrics for Life Foundation has supported the Children’s Cancer Center in so many ways, from a private Sister Hazel concert at the Children’s Cancer Center for our families to donating laptops and printers for our library and hosting our families at their summer camp, Camp Hazelnut. Most recently, Lyrics for Life Foundation partnered with us as one of the generous donors to provide 24 scholarship applicants, all young adults who have been diagnosed with cancer or a chronic blood disorder before the age of 21, receive a college scholarship. Ken Block joined the Children’s Cancer Center in hosting a drive by parade for the scholarship recipients where they received their scholarship and well wishes!
