As a CCC intern, you should be outgoing, compassionate, and comfortable meeting new families and visitors. You should be reliable, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a group.
Interns from a variety of backgrounds—psychology, education, social work, marketing, and others—will be considered. We will make every effort to draw on your strengths when matching you to various tasks. We prefer a GPA of 3.0 or higher, with a solid knowledge of Word and other Microsoft Office programs such as PowerPoint and Excel, and confidence with social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter. You must be able to pass a background check.
Besides real-world experience, you will have the chance to make an immediate difference in the lives of Tampa Bay area children and families in an atmosphere of mutual respect. Though CCC staff members, volunteers, and interns work hard, they also have a lot of fun—you will, too.
Send resumé and cover letter to Susan Stockard, Intern Coordinator at: Sstockard@childrenscancercenter.org. In your cover letter, make sure to tell us why you would choose to work at CCC. Help us get to know you as a possible member of our connected community.
